Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 23 June 2026
1. Who we are
These Terms govern your use of coaching services, programmes, and digital tools provided by James Davies Personal Training (trading as "ForgeCore by J.D.P.T.", "we", "us", "our"), based in Manchester, United Kingdom. By signing up, purchasing a plan, or using our website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility, screening & health disclaimer
You must be at least 18 years old (or have parent/guardian consent) and physically capable of safe exercise. Bodybuilding, strength training, and nutrition guidance carry inherent risks including injury. Before your programme is built, you must complete our PAR-Q+ health screening at /par-q and confirm any injuries, medical conditions, and medications. You confirm that you have, or will obtain, clearance from a qualified medical professional before starting any programme if your screening indicates it is required.
Our coaching is not medical, physiotherapy, psychological, or dietetic advice and is not a substitute for professional healthcare. We do not coach the following populations and will refer you to an appropriately qualified professional instead:
- Pregnancy and the immediate postpartum period;
- Post-surgery rehabilitation (refer to a chartered physiotherapist);
- Active or recovering eating disorders (refer to a registered clinician/dietitian).
You agree to update us promptly if your health, medication, or training capacity changes during your subscription.
3. The service
Depending on the plan you purchase, the service may include personalised hypertrophy and strength programmes, nutrition guidance (calorie/protein targets, meal examples, eating-out guides, grocery lists, alcohol guidance), weekly check-ins, habit and behaviour tracking, form analysis, and direct messaging. Exact deliverables are described on the plan card at the point of purchase and form part of these Terms.
Results vary between individuals and depend on adherence, genetics, recovery, sleep, stress, and prior training history. We do not guarantee any specific physique, weight, or strength outcome.
4. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide (training history, injuries, medications, dietary requirements) and for keeping your login credentials confidential. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access. You must not share your account or programme files with third parties.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service unlawfully or to harm others;
- Submit false, fraudulent, or misleading information;
- Resell, redistribute, or publish our programmes, check-in templates, or written guidance;
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to disrupt the platform, introduce malware, or probe its security;
- Infringe any intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
6. Intellectual property
All programmes, written materials, check-in frameworks, branding, and software remain the property of James Davies Personal Training. You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use them solely for your own training for as long as your subscription is active.
7. Payment, billing & subscriptions
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service enquiries relating to payments and handles returns. Payment, billing, taxes, cancellation, and renewal mechanics are governed by Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms.
Subscriptions renew automatically (monthly or yearly, as selected) until cancelled. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via paddle.net. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid period.
8. Refunds
See our Refund Policy for the full terms. Refund requests are handled by Paddle.
9. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, fraud or security risk, abusive behaviour towards the coach or other clients, or repeated policy violations. On termination, your licence to the materials ends and we may delete account data in line with our Privacy Policy.
10. Warranties & liability
The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the fees you paid in the preceding 6 months. We exclude liability for indirect, consequential, or special losses (including loss of profits, data, or goodwill). Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify James Davies Personal Training against any claims, damages, or costs arising from your misuse of the service, breach of these Terms, or unlawful conduct.
12. Changes to the service or Terms
We may update the service or these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
14. Contact
